When moving (or building new) wins
Honesty matters here: sometimes the answer isn’t an addition. If the structure can’t reasonably support what you need, if the lot itself is the limitation, or if the list of wants has grown into a different house entirely, then a move — or a ground-up build on a lot you’d love more — is the better spend.
